If it is true that a special grinder room cannot be set up due to the limitation of the plant's topography, a protective baffle with a height of not less than 1.8m should be installed on the front of the grinder, and the baffle must be firm and effective.

Balance problem

The unbalance of the grinding wheel is mainly caused by the inaccurate manufacture and installation of the grinding wheel, so that the center of gravity of the grinding wheel does not coincide with the rotary axis. The harm caused by imbalance is mainly manifested in two aspects. On the one hand, when the grinding wheel rotates at a high speed, it will cause vibration, which is easy to cause polygonal vibration marks on the surface of the workpiece. On the other hand, imbalance accelerates the vibration of the spindle and the wear of the bearing. Sometimes it will cause the rupture of the grinding wheel and even cause an accident. Therefore, it is required that the sand office building with a height greater than or equal to 200mm should be statically balanced after the chuck is installed. The static balance should be repeated after the grinding wheel is reshaped or found to be unbalanced during work.

Matching problem

The matching problem mainly refers to the installation matching problem of the chuck and the grinding wheel. According to the standard requirements, the diameter of the grinding wheel chuck shall not be less than 1/3 of the diameter of the installed sand office building, and correspondingly, it is stipulated that the grinding wheel should be replaced when the grinding wheel is worn to a diameter of 10mm larger than the diameter of the chuck. In this way, there is a matching problem between the chuck and the grinding wheel. Otherwise, the "big horse-drawn cart" will cause waste of equipment and materials; the "small horse-drawn cart" does not meet the safety requirements and is likely to cause personal accidents. Therefore, the reasonable matching of the chuck and the grinding wheel can save equipment and cut materials on the one hand; on the other hand, it meets the requirements of safe operation. In addition, between the grinding wheel and the chuck, a soft pad with a diameter of 2mm larger than that of the chuck and a thickness of 1mm~2mm should be added.

Protection problem

The protective cover is the most important protective device of the grinder. Its function is: when the grinding wheel is damaged during work, it can effectively cover the debris of the grinding wheel and ensure the safety of personnel. The shape of the protective cover of the grinding wheel is round and square, and the maximum opening angle is not allowed to exceed 90°; the material of the protective cover is steel with a tensile strength of not less than 415N/mm2. When replacing a new grinding wheel, the protective cover must be installed firmly and reliably, and the protective cover must not be disassembled or discarded at will. The chip shield is one of the main protective accessories of the grinder. The opening of the protective cover above the horizontal plane of the spindle is greater than or equal to 30 (this device must be installed. Its main function is to block the flying in the grinding process, so as not to hurt Operator. It is installed at the positive end of the opening of the protective cover. The width should be greater than the width of the protective cover of the grinding wheel, and it should be firmly fixed on the protective cover. Bracket is one of the commonly used accessories for grinders. According to regulations, grinders with a diameter of more than 150mm must be equipped with adjustable brackets. The distance between the grinding wheel and the bracket should be less than 1/2 of the smallest shape of the workpiece to be ground, but the maximum should not exceed 3mm.

Grounding problem

The grinder uses a power line, so the casing of the equipment must have a good grounding protection device. This is also one of the important factors that easily cause accidents.

Side grinding problem

In the daily use of grinders, we can often find that some operators, regardless of the type of grinder or the type of grinding wheel, use the side of the grinding wheel to grind at will. This is a serious violation of the safety operation rules. behavior. According to the regulations, the grinding wheel with the circumferential surface as the working surface is not suitable for side grinding. Positive operational problems

In daily use, many operators are always accustomed to operating directly on the grinding wheel. The reason is that they can use strength in this direction. According to the operating rules, when using the grinder to grind the workpiece, the operator should stand on the side of the grinding wheel and not operate on the front of the grinding wheel, so as to avoid the grinding wheel flying out or the grinding wheel breaking out and hurting people when the grinding wheel fails.

Forced operation problem

When using the grinder, some operators, especially young operators, use too much force in order to achieve a fast grinding speed. This is an extremely unsafe operation. Wear problem

Any grinding wheel has a certain degree of wear and tear, and a new grinding wheel must be replaced when the wear condition reaches a certain level. It is not necessary to use excessive wear in order to save materials. This is an extremely unsafe violation. It is generally stipulated that when the grinding wheel is worn to a diameter 10mm larger than the diameter of the chuck, a new grinding wheel should be replaced.

Validity issue

The new grinding wheel brought out from the warehouse may not be a qualified grinding wheel, and even the new grinding wheel bought from the manufacturer may not be a qualified grinding wheel. Any grinding wheel has a certain expiration date. If it is used within the expiration date, it is a qualified grinding wheel; if it is used beyond the expiration date, it is not necessarily a qualified grinding wheel. The regulations stipulate that "the grinding wheel should be used within the validity period, and the resin and rubber bond grinding wheel must undergo a rotation test after being stored for one year, and the qualified one can use it".

Texture problem

In the course of use, if you find that the grinding wheel is partially cracked, you should stop using it immediately and replace it with a new grinding wheel to prevent the grinding wheel from breaking and hurting people.
